About Richard Giles
My name is Richard Giles and welcome to my blog. I have created this mainly for me and my mates to read about our nights/weekends/holidays out (good to reminisce) and to check out the photos I post.
So, a bit about me. Born in Sheffield, attended Grenoside Infant and Junior School but moved to Hillsborough when I was 7, which meant I had to attend Hillsborough School (I hated it). I convinced my mother to allow me to go back to Grenoside about a year later. I loved it - I have lots of great memories there. I have got in touch with many old friends which I am hoping we can sort some sort of reunion. I attended Yewlands Secondary school where I met loads of friends (we don’t need to go into that).
I have had many professions which often revolve around computers. I setup a Company with my Dad and sister Sally in 1999 and created EasyFind.net, which was designed to be a Link Directory. After a hard battle unfortunately it turned out to be a '.com bust' and we had to cease, but hey, we gave it a go.
I worked for Freeserve Technical Support for over a year in 2002, even though the hours sucked I had a great time meeting some amazing people. But because of the poor shift I was on, it allowed me to visit the gym usually 10 while 12 in the morning and I got the healthiest I’d ever been! I got a better job in Attercliffe doing Web/Intranet design, but I decided to try taking some time out in 2005 to go to Ibiza and mainland Spain for a short while.
Now I am in Internet Marketing for a aggressively growing company, which is a great job, requiring lots of hard work!
At the moment I enjoy 5 aside Football, the gym with my mate Joker, Web Design and nights (or weekends) out with my crazy mates. If you would like to get in touch, you can email rich@rawkinrich.org.
